Note: As of late 2023/2024, GM has begun transitioning to a new platform called "GM Global Diagnostic System" (GDS 2 via the web), but Techline Connect remains actively used for programming and legacy support. We will cover the current status as well.

After installation, the real wait begins. When launched, Techline Connect must synchronize its – essentially a local database of every calibration file, diagnostic routine, and programming sequence for GM vehicles back to 1996. This initial sync can take anywhere from 45 minutes to over three hours, depending on broadband speed.
