For PS2 games on PCSX2, always use the DVD conversion method ( createdvd ) for DVD-based titles, and the CD method ( createcd ) for rare CD-based PS2 games (which were mostly early releases). Using the wrong method can cause compatibility issues.

PS2 ISOs often contain large amounts of empty data padding. The CHD format strips this padding and compresses the actual game data. On average, you can expect a 30% to 60% reduction in file size.
